The Strengthening Communities for a Lifetime workgroup focuses on building inclusive, age-friendly communities by advancing strategies in housing, transportation, social engagement, health care access, and community services. It includes three subgroups: Housing; Connectivity and Digital Literacy; and Social Determinants of Health and Age-Friendly.
The session includes:
• A welcome and overview of the current state of implementation,
• Highlights from subgroup leads on Year 1 priorities, early brainstorming/progress from June, and next steps,
• A featured presentation by Dr. Leanne Clark-Shirley of the American Society on Aging on national strategies to strengthen age-inclusive communities,
• Time for open Q&A and discussion with attendees
