Many of us have been using “RGEA” in conversation for years, so we’re now making it official. We are pleased to introduce a shorter name and a new look for the association.
The Retired Government Employees Association (RGEA) is the voice and go-to resource for North Carolina’s local and state public service retirees. We operate on the core values of service, integrity, collaboration, and diversity.
Our Government Relations team is the lobbying arm of RGEA. Our lobbyist team and Government Relations Committee are responsible for carrying out the legislative goals and agenda as created and adopted by the RGEA Board of Directors.
RGEA is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Association Member Benefits Advisors (AMBA) to provide members with more benefit opportunities.
Get connected with other RGEA retirees in your area through Community Advisory Boards, District Meetings, and other activities.
Strong, best-in-class, voluntary member benefits, for those retirees and their spouses including Medicare Supplement, Dental plan, Vision plan, Hearing Care, Legal/ID Plans, AD&D.
Enjoy exclusive offers through AMBA Discounts, and save on travel, dining, entertainment, electronics, and more.
To advance, promote, and protect the benefits, interests, and well-being of North Carolina’s retired state and local public servant.
If you’re a pre-retiree, RGEA is ready to help you plan for your new phase in life. With support in advocacy, insurance benefits, social opportunities and more, joining the association and leveraging our resources just makes good sense.
To expand the policy agenda & influence through a compelling vision, leadership, and the intentional engagement of stakeholders.
To become a more service-oriented organization by expanding informational & educational offerings.
To become a relationship-centric organization through more local opportunities for engagement.
To build the association's capacity to expand strategic use of digital communications to better engage membership.
