RGEA is accepting nominations for the 2025 Vann Langston Public Service Award. This award, given annually, honors one RGEA member who, through their career and community engagement, has contributed significant achievements in promoting the public good.
To be eligible to receive the Vann Langston Public Service Award, all nominees must meet the following criteria:
- Be retired from government service in North Carolina at the state, county or municipal level.
- Be a recipient of benefits from a retirement system administered by the NC Department of the State Treasurer (TSERS, LGERS, CJRS, LRS, FRSWPF, NCNGPF, RDSPF) or be a participant in the Optional Retirement Plan.
- Be a member in good standing of RGEA at the time of nomination.
- Be nominated by another member of RGEA. Self-nominations are not allowed.
